The shoes are indispensable in our daily life, and there is a serious reasons for this, they keep us worm and comfortable, but initially their use was even more important for the humankind.
The humanity confronted at its beginning with the period called the glacial époque, which lasted thousands of years. The first humans survived only because they used fire, clothes made of animal furs and of course the most primitive shoes, leather bags created to protect the legs from the frost and the ice. This may be confirmed by the researches of the Physical anthropologist Erik Trinkaus, which considers that shoes started to be used about 40,000 and 26,000 years ago. Thus shoes alongside with fire and fur clothes helped us to survive the glacial period.
One of the earliest shoes are the sandals dating from about 8000 to 7000 BC, found in Oregon in 1938 and the Oldest leather shoe was discovered in a cave in Armenia in 2008, which is dated from approximately 3,500 BC.
In different regions different shoes were used, according especially to the climate. For example from the Holy Bible we can see that one of the oldest types of shoes used in the middle Asia region and on the actual Palestine territory where the sandals.
In the Cold regions leather shoes were used because of the harsh climate. The leather shoes looked very similar to moccasins, although the technology and motives where different in the different regions, the moccasin like, type of the shoe, is one of the oldest designs and also one of the most comfortable one, fact which explains that similar shoes with certain improved technology are produced even in our days.
